Master of Science in Information Systems Curriculum

The MS-IST program comprises
several options that differ in their emphasis, format, and location. All require the completion of a core of technology courses, including a capstone project. |
MIS, ISD, ISPM Graduate Program
Students take courses on either a full-time or part-time basis during the fall and spring semester with optional summer sessions. Three fields of study are offered:
- Management Information Systems (MIS) at
the Main Campus,
Washington, DC,
the
Virginia Campus,
Ashburn, and the
Graduate Education Center, Arlington
- Information Systems Development (ISD) at the Main Campus,
Washington, DC and the
Virginia Campus,
Ashburn
- Information Systems Project Management (ISPM) at the Main Campus,
Washington, DC.
Executive Master of Science in Information Systems (EMIS)
In the EMIS program, cohorts of rising and senior level decision-makers meet at the Virginia Campus,
Ashburn one day per week on alternating Fridays and Saturdays. The extensive professional experience of the participants creates a unique learning environment in which the technical, management, and strategic implications of information systems are explored in a 15-month program.
